HomeMy WebLinkAboutCBC_06 23 2022The City Beautiful Commission held a planned meeting at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23,
2022, at Little Rock City Hall, 2nd Floor, Board of Directors Chambers, 500 West Markham St.
Simultaneously the meeting was virtually held online using the WebEx format. Chairman
Sanders-Woods, called the meeting to order.

APPROVAL OF THE MARCH MEETING MINUTES:
Commissioner Sanders-Woods entertained a motion to approve the April Minutes.

Motion: Commissioner Peyton made a motion that the May 26, 2022, Minutes be approved.
Second: Commissioner Winchester seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Expense Report:
Commissioner Peyton stated that there was nothing new to report.
COMMITTEE REPORTS, UPDATES:
Public Relations
Commissioner Miller stated that the Landscape Award presentation has been posted to the
commissions Facebook page and that the McMath Library shared the post which increased views
on the commission page.
KLRB:
Commissioner Dane stated that she had attended the last KLRB meeting and that they had no
request for the CBC at this time. The commissioner also stated that most that KLRB meeting was
mostly devoted to their recycling initiative.
Adopt-A-Street:
Commissioner Winchester stated that the Bowman Rd pick-up had been accomplished on June 18
with only himself and Commissioner Walker in attendance. The commissioner also stated that due
to limited help he and Commissioner Walker were only able to address the south end of Bowman
Rd.
The commissioners discussed a date for the next pickup and decided on July 9th at 8:00 am.
Eye of the Beholder:
Staff stated that there were two new nominations and accepted awards in June and that former
commissioner Mr. Steve Homeyer delivered yard signs to the recipients.
T.R.E.E Fund:
Chairman Sanders-Woods stated that there was nothing new to report.

Landscape Awards:
Staff stated that the Landscape Awards are open through the end of August and encouraged the
commissioners to make nominations.
NEW BUSINESS:
Staff made the announcement that beginning with the July meeting the general public will no
longer be able to attend the meeting virtually. It was also noted that this mandate may also extend
to the commissioners at a later date.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The next Bowman Rd pickup will be held on Saturday July 9th and the commissioners will meet
on this Saturday morning at 8:00 am in the Regions ATM parking lot on the northwest corner of
Bowman and Markham,
ADJOURNMENT:
Chairman Sanders-Woods entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Motion: Commissioner Winchester made a motion to adjourn.
Second: Commissioner Peyton seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:21 pm.
