SUBJECT: Permit for 511 East 7th Street
This memo serves as administrative approval from the Little Rock Historic District
Commission (LRHDC) allowing the property owner of 511 East 7th Street permission to obtain
a permit for the repair/replacement of a privacy fence in the rear and side yards. Since the
structure is located within the MacArthur Park Historic District, exterior work comes under the
LRHDC'sjurisdiction. Routine maintenance is allowed within the local ordinance historic
district with administrative approval; repair and replacement of an existing fence is considered
routine maintenance. As such, and meeting other city regulations, the application for a permit
should be approved. If exterior changes or improvements are made tha! require a Certificate of
Appropriateness (COA), staff will be notified and appropriate actions taken for a public hearing.
