HomeMy WebLinkAbout16031 I i 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,031 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DOGGETT FREIGHTLINER OF 5 ARKANSAS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED 6 FIFTY-NINE THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED NINETY DOLLARS 7 ($159,390.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE 8 PURCHASE OF ONE (1) FREIGHTLINER CA126DC TRACTOR TRUCK 9 WITH A LOWBOY TRAILER FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS 10 DEPARTMENT STREET OPERATIONS DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER 11 PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department Street Operations Division has demonstrated a need to 14 purchase one (1) Freightliner CA126DC Tractor Truck with a Lowboy Trailer, to replace an aged, high 15 maintenance unit currently in use; and, 16 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made using Arkansas State Contract No. SP-17-0076. 17 WHEREAS, the total purchase price for one (1) Freightliner CA126DC Tractor Truck with a 18 Lowboy Trailer shall not to exceed One Hundred Fifty-Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Ninety Dollars 19 ($159,390.00),plus applicable taxes and fees. 20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 21 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Doggett Freightliner of 23 Arkansas, for the purchase of one (1) Freightliner CA126DC Tractor Truck with a Lowboy Trailer, in an 24 amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty-Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Ninety Dollars ($159,390.00), 25 plus applicable taxes and fees,to be used by the Public Works Department Street Operations Division. 26 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2022 Public Works Street Department 27 Replacement Fund, Account No. 205409-72300-S40B646. 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 32 resolution. 33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 34 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
