3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH BEN NELSON GOLF AND
5 UTILITY VEHICLES, LLC, IN AN ANNUAL AMOUNT OF EIGHT
6 HUNDRED NINETY-EIGHT THOUSAND, TWO AND 40/100 DOLLARS
7 ($898,022.40), FOR THE LEASING OF VARIOUS TYPES OF CARTS,
8 BOTH ELECTRIC AND GAS, FOR USE AT FIRST TEE AND
9 REBSAMEN GOLF COURSES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, Golf Carts at the City's Rebsamen, Hindman and War Memorial Golf Courses have
12 been leased since 1998 to the present; and,
13 WHEREAS, this approach has proven to be efficient as well as economical, and customer
14 satisfaction has increased; and,
15 WHEREAS,the Parks&Recreation Department proposes that the City Manager enter into a one(1)-
16 i year lease with the option to extend for three(3)additional years; and,
17 WHEREAS,the current lease expires on July 15, 2023;and,
18 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock issued Request for Proposals, Bid No. 2023, for the leasing of
19 various types of carts, both electric and gas,for use First Tee and Rebsamen Golf Courses;and,
20 WHEREAS, Ben Nelson Golf and Utility Vehicles, LLC, was only bidder for Bid No. 2023 for this
21 equipment.
22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
24 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a one (1)-year lease agreement, with
25 the option to extend for three (3)additional years, with Benton Nelson Golf and Utility Vehicles, LLC, in
26 an annual amount not to exceed Eight Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand, Two and 40/100 Dollars
27 ($898,002.40) for the leasing of various types of carts, both electric and gas, for use First Tee and
28 Rebsamen Golf Courses
29 Section 2. Funds are available in the amount of Six Hundred Forty-Two Thousand, Nine Hundred
30 Eleven and 04/100) Dollars ($642,911.04) from Rebsamen Golf Pro Other Contracts, Account No.
31 104710-63390, and in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand, One Hundred Eleven and
32 36/100 Dollars($255,111.36)First Tee Golf Pro Other Contracts,Account No. 104750-63390.
33 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
34 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or

1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
5 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
6 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
