Assure all lighting is directed downward and into the school site. • Comply with any spacing requirements of Fire Department or Building Code Life Safety. ■ All structures must be skirted. • Provide hard surface walkway to paved parking lot. • Do not cut trees, if possible. • Paint or improve the structures to be as compatible with the school building as possible. • Placement of the buildings is approved during the period of construction at the school; after which, they must be removed. Anticipated removal date is fall of 2003. The portables for which we have requested permits are to be placed in an overflow parking lot immediately adjacent to the gymnasium at Mabelvale Middle School and are to be used during the period of construction, which we anticipate beginning in late summer or early fall 2002 and running for approximately 12-14 months. Parking lots presently allocated to the staff, faculty and visitors on the east and south sides of the school will remain open during this period to meet our parking needs. It is anticipated that upon completion of the construction, these portables will be dismantled and moved to another site to meet other construction needs. It is hoped this letter of explanation will suffice and assist in the processing of our permits.
