3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK
4 TO EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE PURCHASE
5 OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1509 GREEN
6 MOUNTAIN DRIVE, LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, FOR THE TOTAL
7 AMOUNT OF FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
8 ($470,000.00), TO BE RENOVATED FOR A TEMPORARY FIRE
9 STATION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, on March 31, 2023, an EF-3 Tornado damaged Fire Station 9 and it was deemed a total
12 loss; and,
13 WHEREAS, a temporary fire station is needed to continue service levels in the affected area until a
14 new fire station can be designed and constructed; and,
15 WHEREAS, the City wishes to purchase the property located at 1509 Green Mountain Drive to be
16 renovated for a temporary fire station; and,
17 WHEREAS, funding for the purchase price of Four Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars
18 ($470,000.00) shall be available from a combination of Insurance, FEMA, and City Funds, Account No.
19 270519-G51 DF231; and,
20 WHEREAS, pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 14-54-302 (West Supp. 2019) a resolution is necessary to
21 accomplish such a transfer of municipal property.
22 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
23 OF LITTLE ROCK:
24 Section 1. The City of Little Rock Board of Directors authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to
25 execute any and all documents necessary to purchase certain real property, located at 1509 Green Mountain
26 Drive, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, with a legal description of:
27 LOT C RAIN WOOD FOREST GREEN MOUNTAIN DRIVE RAINWOOD FOREST C-1,
28 Parcel No. 43L1330000300.
29 Section 2. Funds for this purchase price of Four Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($470,000.00)
30 are available from a combination of Insurance, FEMA, and City Funds, Account No. 270519-G51 DF231.
31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, subparagraph,
32 item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
33 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution,

1 which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
2 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution.
3 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances and resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent
4 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
