HomeMy WebLinkAbout16015 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,015 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH VULCAN, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 5 EXCEED NINETY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($90,000.00), PLUS 6 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF SIGN 7 SHEETING MATERIAL FOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT 8 STREET OPERATIONS DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of 3M Sign Sheeting Material to produce and 11 fabricate traffic signage for the City of Little Rock to maintain existing roadways inside the City Limits; 12 and, 13 WHEREAS, the City advertised formal Bid No. 2060 to solicit proposals for 3M Sign Sheeting 14 Material, and Vulcan, Inc., was the lowest responsive bid out of five (5) bids received that met 15 specifications. 16 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Vulcan, Inc. in an 19 amount not to exceed Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, per year for 20 purchases of sign sheeting material for the Public Works Operations Sign Fabrication Shop. 21 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated from Public Works Control Devices Account No. 22 204008-60160. 23 Section 3. This contract shall be for one (1)-year from the date of the award, with the provision that 24 it may be extended yearly for two(2)additional years upon mutual agreement of both parties. 25 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 5. Repealer.
