Home My WebLink About22259 1 ORDINANCE NO. 22,259 2 3 A ORDINANCE TO DECLARE IT IMPRACTICAL AND UNFEASIBLE 4 TO BID; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE A SOLE- 5 SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER TO CLIFFORD POWER SYSTEMS,IN AN 6 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000.00) 7 PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF 8 OMNIMETRIX GENERATOR MONITORING SERVICE FOR THE 9 FLEET SERVICES DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Department has a need to purchase of OmniMetrix Generator 12 Monitoring Services; and, 13 WHEREAS,since Clifford Power Systems is the only vendor in the Central Arkansas area that has the 14 capabilities to continue generator monitoring utilizing OmniMetrix vendor selection was made through an 15 approved Sole-Source letter; and, 16 WHEREAS, Fleet Services requests authorization for an Agreement with Clifford Power Systems for 17 the purchase of OmniMetrix Generator Monitoring Services; and, 18 WHEREAS,the total cost of the purchase shall not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars($50,000.00), plus 19 applicable taxes and fees, with funds allocated in the Fleet Maintenance Account No. 600031-63390. 20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an Agreement for 23 the purchase of OmniMetrix Generator Monitoring Services in the amount not exceed Fifty Thousand 24 Dollars($50,000.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, for the Fleet Services Department. 25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Fleet Maintenance Account No. 600031-63390. 26 Section 3. Because Clifford Power Systems is the only vendor in the Central Arkansas area that has 27 the capabilities to continue generator monitoring utilizing OmniMetrix the Board of Directors declares it is 28 impractical and unfeasible to submit this purchase to competitive bids. 29 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 30 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and 32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 33 ordinance.
