HomeMy WebLinkAbout15991 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,991 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH CROMWELL ARCHITECTS ENGINEERS, 5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN 6 THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($127,500.00), FOR DESIGN 7 SERVICES FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE DUNBAR COMMUNITY 8 CENTER; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Dunbar Community was established in 1954 and is the oldest and most popular 11 Community Centers serving the City of Little Rock and its citizens; and, 12 WHEREAS, the facility is showing signs of deterioration and needs significant improvements to its 13 mechanical systems along with the Design Services that will focus on updates to the facility indoor and 14 outdoor overall aesthetic appearance, as well as function of center interior spaces to meet current citizen 15 needs;and, 16 WHEREAS, Cromwell Architects Engineers was selected from the Statements of Qualifications for 17 Architectural Design Services,Bid No. 1627,to provide services for project;and, 18 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project shall not exceed One Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand, Five 19 Hundred ($127,500.00) with funding is available through the interest accrued from the American Rescue 20 Plan Act,Account No. 271129-G21 AR0012. 21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized into enter into an agreement with Cromwell Architects 24 Engineers in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars 25 ($127,500.00),to provide significant improvements to its mechanical systems and Design Services focusing 26 on updates to the facility outdoor pool, overall indoor aesthetic appearance and function of center interior 27 spaces to meet current citizen needs at the Dunbar Community Center. 28 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available through the interest accrued from the American 29 Rescue Plan Act,Account No. 271129-G21 AR0012. 30 Section 3. Severability.In the event any title,paragraph, item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word of this 31 resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall 32 not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion 33 so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
