Home My WebLink About15989 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,989 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH CROMWELL ARCHITECTS ENGINEERS, 5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN 6 THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED AND DOLLARS ($127,500.00), FOR 7 DESIGN SERVICES FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE SOUTHWEST 8 COMMUNITY CENTER; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,the Southwest Community Center is a heavily utilized facility with a unique feature of an 11 outdoor swimming pool; and, 12 WHEREAS, Design Services shall provide updates and improvements to the facility outdoor pool, 13 overall indoor aesthetic appearance and function of center interior spaces to meet current citizen needs;and, 14 WHEREAS, Cromwell Architects Engineers was selected from the Statements of Qualifications for 15 Architectural Design Services, Bid No. 1627,to provide services for project;and, 16 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project shall not exceed One Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand,Five 17 Hundred Dollars($127,500.00), with funding is available through the interest accrued from the American 18 Rescue Plan Act,Account No. 271129-G21 AR0012. 19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized into enter into an agreement with Cromwell Architects 22 Engineers in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars 23 ($127,500.00),to provide Design Services focusing on updates to the facility outdoor pool,overall indoor 24 aesthetic appearance and function of center interior spaces to meet current citizen needs at the Southwest 25 Community Center. 26 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available through the interest accrued from the American 27 Rescue Plan Act,Account No. 271129-G21AR0012. 28 Section 3. Severability.In the event any title,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word of this 29 resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall 30 not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion 31 so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. 32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, which are inconsistent 33 with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
