3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH MUSCO SPORTS LIGHTING, LLC, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIX HUNDRED NINETEEN THOUSAND,
6 FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($619,500.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES
7 AND FEES, TO PROVIDE TENNIS FACILITY SPORT LIGHTING FOR
8 SIXTEEN (16) COURTS AT THE REBSAMEN TENNIS CENTER; AND
9 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,there is a high demand for lighted sports fields and courts in the City in order to extend
12 the use of recreation facilities into the nighttime and to reduce the maintenance cost;and,
13 WHEREAS, Rebsamen Tennis Center has a long history of City-wide use and tradition of holding
14 several tournaments yearly including the Little Rock Open;and,
15 WHEREAS, Musco Lighting is a light-structure system with Total Light Control — TLC for LED
16 Technology which provides a guaranteed light level, improved luminaire efficiency, increased durability,
17 and an innovative monitoring service that enables scheduling and control of lights remotely; and,
18 WHEREAS,the project shall be purchased through the Sourcewell Contract(No. 071619-MSL) for
19 a cost of Five Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($599,500.00), plus a contingency,
20 if needed, of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), for a total cost not to exceed Six Hundred Nineteen
21 Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($619,000.00), plus and applicable taxes and fees.
22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with Musco Sports Lighting,LLC,
25 in an amount of Five Hundred Ninety-Nine, Five Hundred Dollars ($599,500.00), plus a contingency, if
26 needed, of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), for a total cost not to exceed Six Hundred Nineteen
27 Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($619,000.00), plus and applicable taxes and fees, for the work required
28 to provide Light-Structure Systems with Total Light Control—TLC for LED Technology which provides
29 a guaranteed light level, improved luminaire efficiency, increased durability,and an innovative monitoring
30 service that enables scheduling and control of lights remotely for new tennis facility sport lights for sixteen
31 (16)Tennis Courts at Rebsamen Tennis Center.
32 Section 2. Funding for the project is from Rebsamen Tennis Center Improvements, Account No.
33 108459-S45C550.

1 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
2 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
3 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
5 resolution.
6 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
7 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
