3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH HARRIS CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT,
5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO
6 THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS ($322,740.00), FOR
7 SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
8 ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,sidewalk improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,to maintain
11 existing sidewalks; and,
12 WHEREAS,citizens of the City of Little Rock approved a sales tax which provided funding for these
13 sidewalk improvements;and,
14 WHEREAS, Harris Construction Management submitted the lowest bid (Bid No. 2039) meeting
15 specifications for the 2023 Sidewalk Replacement Program.
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Harris Construction
19 Management, in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand, Seven Hundred Forty
20 Dollars($322,740.00),or Two Hundred Sixty-Eight Thousand,Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars($268,950.00),
21 plus 20%contingency.
22 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
23 Use Tax Funds and available in Account No. TS40A08.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
