Home My WebLink About22254 1 ORDINANCE NO. 22,254 2 3 AN ORDINANCE TO DECLARE IT IMPRACTICAL AND UNFEASIBLE 4 TO BID; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A 5 CONTRACT WITH TI TRAINING, LE, LLC, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT 6 OF SEVENTY-NINE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS 7 ($79,900.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, TO PROVIDE AN 8 UPGRADE FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT 9 TRAINING DIVISION'S SIMULATION SYSTEM; AND FOR OTHER 10 PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department(LRPD) owns a simulation system manufactured by 13 Ti Training LE, LLC, and requests an upgrade to allow training to be conducted using the updated lethal 14 and less lethal weapon systems utilized by LRPD, de-escalation techniques,as well as increasing the field 15 view for training to 180 degrees;and, 16 WHEREAS, the total cost of this project is not to exceed Seventy-Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred 17 Dollars($79,900.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, of which Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00) 18 is available from the JAG21 Grant and Fourteen Thousand, Nine Hundred Dollars ($14,900.00), plus 19 applicable fees and taxes, is available from the Federal Asset Forfeiture Justice Funds. 20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a sole-source contract with Ti Training LE, 23 LLC to upgrade the Little Rock Police Department Training Division's Simulation System. 24 Section 2. Funding for this purchase of is not to exceed Seventy-Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred 25 Dollars($79,900.00), plus applicable fees and taxes, of which Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars($65,000.00), 26 plus applicable fees and taxes, is available from the JAG21 Grant, Account No. 270529-G52DF218, and 27 Fourteen Thousand,Nine Hundred Dollars ($14,900.00), plus applicable fees and taxes, is available from 28 the Federal Asset Forfeiture Justice Funds, Account No. 270529-G35147. 29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 30 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and 32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 33 ordinance.
