3 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT CHRIS MOSES AND JOHN CHANDLER
4 TO POSITIONS ON THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE
5 METROCENTRE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 OF THE CITY OF
6 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, Metrocentre Improvement District No. 1 was created by Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance
9 No. 12,849(October 16, 1973),pursuant to Act 162 of 1973,codified as Ark. Code Ann. §§ 14-184-101 to
10 -130(West 2004& West Supp. 2015);and,
11 WHEREAS,a vacancy exists on the Board of Commissioners due to the passing of Richard Mays,Jr.,
12 and there is a desire to appoint Chris Moses -- qualified because he is an owner of real property in the
13 district as part owner of 315 Main Street--to fill this vacancy. In addition, a vacancy exists on the Board
14 of Commissioners due to the resignation of Jimmy Moses, and there is a desire to appoint John Chandler-
15 -qualified because he is an owner of real property in the district as part owner of 609 Main Street--to fill
16 this vacancy.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. Chris Moses is appointed to the Board of Commissioners for the Metrocentre Improvement
20 District No. 1 to fill the term of Richard Mays, Jr., and John Chandler is appointed to the Board of
21 Commissioners for the Metrocentre Improvement District No. 1 to fill the term of Jimmy Moses.
22 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 3. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
