HomeMy WebLinkAbout15968 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,968 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO IDENTIFY EXPENDITURES IN VARIOUS WARDS 4 FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS FUNDED FROM THE PROCEEDS OF THE 5 2022 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS FOR STREET AND 6 DRAINAGE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the electors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas approved the issuance of Capital 9 Improvement Bonds for Streets and Drainage Improvements in order to accomplish the public purposes set 10 forth in Ordinance 22,192,which was adopted on November 15,2022; and, 11 WHEREAS, it is desirable to fund the identified 2023, 2024 and 2025 projects from the 2022 Capital 12 Improvement Bonds for Streets and Drainage in the various Wards. 13 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 14 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 15 Section 1. The Board of Directors intends to accomplish the following list of Street and Drainage 16 Improvement Projects in Ward 1 with approximately Four Million, Five Hundred Eighty-Four Thousand, 17 Eight Hundred Fifty-Seven Dollars($4,584,857.00): 18 a) Broadway Street Drainage, from West 33rd Street to West 34th Street. 19 b) West 24th Street Reconstruction, from Valentine Street to Valmar Street. 20 c) West 10th Street Reconstruction,from Oak Street to Maple Street. 21 d) West 13th Street Reconstruction,from Fair Park Boulevard to Fillmore Street. 22 e) Bishop Street Sidewalk, from West 18th Street to Wright Avenue. 23 f) East 39th Street Drainage, from Park Avenue to Riddick Street. 24 g) East 38th Street Drainage, located east of Springer Boulevard. 25 h) Rock Street Crosswalks at 6th Street and at River Market Avenue 26 i) Resurfacing—Street resurfacing priorities throughout the Ward 27 Section 2. The Board of Directors intends to accomplish the following list of Street Improvement 9 Projects considered to be of City-wide importance with approximately One Million,Two Hundred Eighty- 10 Three Thousand Dollars($1,283,000.00): 11 b) Kanis Road at Panther Branch Drive Intersection Improvements. 12 c) Chenal Boulevard at Gamble Road Intersection Improvements. 13 Section 9. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 14 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 15 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 16 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 17 resolution. 18 Section 10.
