Hannah:
The sign has not changed from the previous approval, (see the attached) it’s in the same design as the other MacArthur
Park signs. The location you indicated on your elevation is approximately where I had it located. Your location is
probably a little closer to the sidewalk but this is good.
If you would work up a new Certificate of Compliance that would be great, thanks.

Good afternoon Ron,
Since this signage was approved 11 years ago, it’ll need to have a new Certificate of Compliance (staff level) documented
with the sign permit saying that this is the same sign previously approved. I can draft one up. Has the proposed sign
changed in any way from what was approved by the Commission on March 12, 2012?
For location suggestions, see the attached images. The sign location is shown in blue and the tree canopies in green in
the aerial view image. I think a corner location would best suit the site given the tree coverage and number of street
signs in front of the building. I think this location echoes the similarly designed sign on McMath and 9 th Street. The
canopy of street tree on Commerce might need to be raised a little bit for the sign to be more visible when you are on
Commerce going north.

Hannah:
See the attached COA for Site signage along with other work for the Firehouse Hostel back in 2012. I was wondering if
there was an Approval Letter that I thought you might have access too as a part of this COA.
We are close to installing this site sign finally, (see the attached graphic and proposed location) and wanted to apply for
the sign permit and the Planning Department would probably ask for the COA and letter if there is one. Would you look
for access to the letter? Also, would you approve of the Sign location or offer a suggestion?
