To accomplish this and to clean up the zoning, the owners are requesting a rezoning change from "R-2" to "C-3." The "C-3" reclassification is compatible with the area because of the existing land use and zoning which is primarily "0-3" and "C-3." The land uses include the future mall area to the south with a mix of office and multifamily residential to the north, west, and east. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the "C-3" request as filed. PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION: The applicant was present. There were no objectors. A motion was made to recommend approval of the "C-3" rezoning as requested. The motion passed by a vote of 11 ayes, 0 noes, and 0 absent.
