3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
4 ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHEASTERN FREIGHT
5 LINES,INC.,OR ITS ASSIGNEE,FOR THE SALE OF APPROXIMATELY
6 FIVE (5) ACRES OF LAND LOCATED IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
7 PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
8 ARKANSAS, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LITTLE ROCK PORT
9 AUTHORITY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Port Authority markets land for economic development purposes and
12 encourages industry to locate at the Port of Little Rock; and,
13 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Port Authority recently developed a Master Growth Plan that identified
14 various industry segments that would be good industry partners;and,
15 WHEREAS, Southeastern Freight Lines, Inc., has approached the Little Rock Port Authority about
16 buying approximately five(5)acres of land located at the Port of Little Rock for the purpose of expanding
17 their existing operations.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK:
20 Section 1. The City of Little Rock Board of Directors authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to enter
21 into a Real Estate Contract to sell approximately five(5)acres of land located at the Port of Little Rock to
22 Southeastern Freight Lines, Inc., for Two Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($225,000.00), which
23 is more particularly described as:
24 TRACT 2: PART OF AREA 101 OF THE LITTLE ROCK PORT INDUSTRIAL PARK,
25 BEING IN THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER,
26 SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 01 NORTH, RANGE 11 WEST, PULASKI COUNTY,
27 ARKANSAS, BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS
28 COMMENCING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE SAID SOUTHEAST
29 QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER; THENCE NORTH 88 DEGREES 43
30 MINUTES 17 SECONDS WEST ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF THE SAID
31 SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER 727.54 FEET TO A
32 POINT; THENCE DEPARTING SAID SOUTH LINE NORTH 01 DEGREES 16
33 MINUTES 43 SECONDS EAST 59.74 FEET TO A FOUND Y2-INCH REBAR (PS NO

16 Section 2. Severability.In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,clause,phrase,or word
17 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication
18 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the
19 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
20 Section 3. Repealer.All laws ordinances resolutions or parts of the same that are inconsistent with the
21 provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
