3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DELL TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX THOUSAND,
6 EIGHT HUNDRED NINETY-ONE AND 62/100 DOLLARS ($226,891.62),
7 PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF 117
8 LATITUDE 7230 RUGGED TABLETS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE
9 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department has demonstrated the need to purchase 117 new
12 Latitude 7230 Rugged Tablets; and,
13 WHEREAS,by utilizing Arkansas State Contract No. SP-16-0019,the Little Rock Police Department
14 can purchase those radios for total cost not to exceed Two Hundred Sixty-Six Thousand, Eight Hundred
15 Ninety-One and 62/100 Dollars($266,891.62),plus applicable taxes and fees.
16 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to utilize Arkansas State
19 Contract No. SP-16-0019,to enter into a contract with Dell Technologies,Inc.,for the purchase of 117 new
20 Latitude 7230 Rugged Tablets for the Little Rock Police Department for a total cost not to exceed Two
21 Hundred Sixty-Six Thousand, Eight Hundred Ninety-One and 62/100 Dollars ($266,891.62), plus
22 applicable taxes and fees.
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Fleet Operating Fund, Account No. 600013-
24 60310.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
