HomeMy WebLinkAbout15947 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,947 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 15,241 (JUNE 16, 2020), 4 TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND THE ANNUAL 5 CONTRACT WITH QUALITY SECURITY SERVICES, INC., TO 6 INCREASE RATES PAID FOR SECURITY GUARD SERVICES AT 7 VARIOUS CITY FACILITIES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, in Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 15,241 (June 16, 2020), the Board of Directors 10 authorized the City Manager to execute an Annual Contract with Quality Security Services, Inc., to 11 provide Security Guard Services at various City facilities at an hourly rate of Fourteen and 50/100 Dollars 12 ($14.50) per hour for Unarmed Guard Services and Sixteen and 50/100 Dollars ($16.50) per hour for 13 Armed Guard Services; and, 14 WHEREAS, Quality Security Services, Inc., has requested an hourly rate increase of Eighteen 15 Dollars and 50/100 ($18.50) for Unarmed Guard Services and Twenty Dollars and 50/100 ($20.50) for 16 Armed Guard Services to continue to provide the City facilities with a dedicated team of Security 17 Officers. 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 15,241 (June 16, 2020) is amended to increase the 21 annual contract cost with Quality Security Services, Inc., to provide hourly rate increases of Eighteen 22 Dollars and 50/100 ($18.50) for Unarmed Guard Services and Twenty Dollars and 50/100 ($20.50) for 23 Armed Guard Services effective February 1, 2023, for the remainder of the current contract term through 24 and including December 31, 2023. 25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from various Departmental Budgets. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
