HomeMy WebLinkAbout15941 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,941 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TEECO SAFETY,IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT 5 OF ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-ONE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED 6 TWENTY-TWO AND 13/100 DOLLARS ($161,922.13), PLUS 7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, 'FOR THE PURCHASE OF 8 BALLISTIC VESTS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT; 9 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS,it is critical that the Little Rock Police Department(LRPD)be equipped and trained with 12 reliable tools and equipment; and, 13 WHEREAS,LRPD has a need to replace the Ballistic Vests that were purchased in 2016 due to safety 14 expiration;and, 15 WHEREAS,the Quartermaster, in conjunction with Teeco Safety,completed a vest fitting process for 16 eighty-nine (89) replacement vests, exterior vest carriers, pouches and rifle grade protection plates for the 17 vest at a total cost of One Hundred Sixty-One Thousand,Nine Hundred Twenty-Two and 13/100 Dollars 18 ($161,922.13), plus applicable taxes and fees; and, 19 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made from the National Association of State Procurement Officials 20 Purchasing Agreement, Contract No. 164719, Arkansas State Contract No. SP-21-0060 and Outline 21 Agreement No. 4600048432. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Teeco Safety for the purchase 25 of replacement vests, exterior vest carriers, pouches and rifle grade protection plates for the vest at a total 26 cost of One Hundred Sixty-One Thousand,Nine Hundred Twenty-Two and 13/100 Dollars($161,922.13), 27 plus applicable taxes and fees. 28 Section 2. Funding in the amount Thirty-Six Thousand, Three Hundred Sixty-Six Dollars 29 ($36,366.00) is available from the JAG Grant, with the remaining funds available from the Federal Asset 30 Forfeiture Funds,Account No. 270529-G35148-60030. 31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and [Page 1 of 21 1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 2 resolution. 3 Section 4. Repealer.
