3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SCOTT EQUIPMENT,INC.,IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-TWO THOUSAND, TWO
6 HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS ($132,280.00), PLUS APPLICABLE
7 TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) CASE 580SN
8 BACKHOE LOADER FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
9 STREET OPERATIONS DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department Street Operations Division has demonstrated a need to
12 purchase one(1)Case 580SN Backhoe Loader 4WD T4,to replace aged,high maintenance units currently
13 in use;and,
14 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made available through the Sourcewell Contract No.032119-CNH;
15 and,
16 WHEREAS,the total purchase price for one(1)Case 580SN Backhoe Loader 4WD T4, shall not to
17 exceed One Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand, Two Hundred Eighty Dollars ($132,280.00), plus applicable
18 taxes and fees.
19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Scott Equipment,Inc., for
22 the purchase of one (1) Case 580SN Backhoe Loader 4WD T4, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred
23 Thirty-Two Thousand, Two Hundred Eighty Dollars ($132,280.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, to be
24 used by the Public Works Department Street Operations Division.
25 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in the 2023 Public Works Street Department
26 Replacement Fund,Account No. 205409-72200-S40B660.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
