Describes "Certain land lying and adjoining the City of Little
Rock on the South of said City,"as:
North cart of Nest half of Section eleven (�1) a:i_: the
Ncrth part of the Last half of Section ten (10) in Township
one :,orth of t .n�e Twelve West, containing; about 75 acres
Recites:
That the said Benjamin T. Duval owner and proprietor of said land
having laid off the above described land.. into Blocks and Lots for the
purpose of adding the same to the City of Little Rock as an addition
thereto, and having made a plat of the survey thereof which plat to-
gether with this bill of assurance shall be recorded in the Recorder's
Office of said County of Pulaski in said State of Arkansas, that Said
Addition is and forever shall be called and known as "Duval's Addition
to the City of Little Rock.'
That all Streets of said Addition to the said City as represented
on said plat of the survey (signed by said Benjamin T. Duval, by
Benjamin J. Field his :attorney in fact) shall be any: forever remain
open open public highways, and shall never be barred or shut or closed
up, and that free une thereof shall appertain to every Lot or Block
owner in said Addition or other person or persons requiring the use
thereof, as open public highways and each of said streets in the said
Division to said City of Little Rock shall forever be called and known
by the names and number which they have on said plat.

That each of said lots and blocks shall forever be known by the
number they bear on said plat and every deed of conveyance for any block
or lot in said Addition describing the same by the number of block or
blocks, lot or lots by which the same is or are known and represented on
the plat aforesaid, shall always be deemed and held a sufficient descrip-
tion thereof with the accurate and proportionate size, extent and relation
of every Block, Lot or Street so shown and evidenced by the plat aforesaid
and the rights and privileges appertaining; to each Block and Lot so
evidenced by this Bill of Assurance.
That each and every of said Stratus in said Addition except the
Street called Main Street are and ever shall remain 60 feet wide, and
said Main Street shall ever be and remain eighty feet wide.
And to give the fullest assurance to all things herein contained,
the said Benjamin T. Duval will cause this instrument to be recorded in
the office of Recorder of said County of Pulaski in the State of Arkansas
and for that purpose, the said Benjamin T. Duval acting by Benjamin J.
Field, his attorney in fact, hereunto duly authorized by letter of
Attorney of said Benjamin T. Duval to said Benjamin J. Field, bearing
date of 27th day of July 1871, has hereunto set his hand and seal this
the day and year first above written.
ACKNOWTEDGED October 14, 1872, before E.N. Chamberlain as J. P. of
Pulaski County, Ark. in Regular form.
