HomeMy WebLinkAbout15933 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,933 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DANA SAFETY SUPPLY, INC., IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION, FIVE HUNDRED FIVE 6 THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY-ONE AND 75/100 DOLLARS 7 ($1,505,531.75), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR UP- 8 FITTING OF 107 VEHICLES FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE 9 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Little Rock Police Department be equipped with reliable forms of 12 response intervention equipment to preserve public safety; and, 13 WHEREAS, it is necessary that the 107 recently-purchased Police vehicles, which includes eighty 14 (80)SUVs and twenty-seven(27)F-150 Patrol Vehicles,be up-fitted; and, 15 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made through the utilization of The Interlocal Purchasing System 16 (TIPS) USA Contract No. 210102 for the up-fitting of newly-purchased Little Rock Police Department 17 vehicles;and, 18 WHEREAS, the total cost of the purchase is not to exceed One Million, Five Hundred Five 19 Thousand, Five Hundred Thirty-One and 75/100 Dollars ($1,505,531.75), plus applicable taxes and fees, 20 with funding provided from the Little Rock Police Department Short-Term Financing Account No. 21 325529-72300-F452001. 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 23 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Dana Safety Supply,Inc.,for 25 the up-fitting of 107 new Police vehicles, which includes eighty (80) SUVs and twenty-seven (27) F-150 26 Patrol Vehicles, in an amount not to exceed One Million, Five Hundred Five Thousand, Five Hundred 27 Thirty-One and 75/100 Dollars($1,505,531.75),plus applicable taxes and fees. 28 Section 2. Funding for this expenditure will be provided from the Little Rock Police Department 29 Short-Term Financing Account No. 325529-72300-F452001. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 34 resolution.
