3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 14,908(DECEMBER 18,
4 2018), TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
5 AGREEMENT WITH FORVIS,LLP,FORMERLY BKD,LLP,TO PROVIDE
6 CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTING SERVICES TO THE CITY OF
7 LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS,FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 2018—2022;AND
8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (City), is required to conduct an Independent Financial
11 Audit each year of its various funds and pension plans,and in doing so to comply with various City Ordinances
12 and Arkansas State and Federal Laws and regulations; and,
13 WHEREAS, after a competitive process it was determined that the firm of BKD, LLP, in Little Rock,
14 Arkansas was the most qualified firm to provide these services to the City; and,
15 WHEREAS,the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,Arkansas,approved Resolution No. 14,908
16 (December 18, 2018),which authorized the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the firm of BKD,
17 LLP,in Little Rock,Arkansas,and upon satisfactory completion of the City's 2018 Audit,authorized the City
18 Manager to renew the contract annually for the 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 Audits; and,
19 WHEREAS,the firms of BKD,LLP,and Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP,merged to form FORVIS,LLP;
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
21 LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The Board of Directors amends Section 1 of Resolution No. 14,908 to authorize the City
23 Manager to enter into an agreement with FORVIS,LLP,to provide Certified Public Accounting Services to the
24 City of Little Rock for the 2022 Fiscal Year with a negotiated fee of up to Two Hundred Ninety-Seven
25 Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($297,500.00).
26 Section 2. Section 3 of Resolution No. 14,908 provided the Board of Directors with an option to extend
27 the audit agreement for two(2)additional years,2023 and 2024 with satisfactory completion of the City's 2022
28 Audit.
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word
30 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication
31 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the
32 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with the
2 provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
