Home My WebLink About15926 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,926 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS, INC., IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION, ONE HUNDRED NINETY- 6 FOUR THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN AND 50/100 7 DOLLARS ($1,194,647.50), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR 8 THE PURCHASE OF 169 MOBILE RADIO SYSTEMS FOR THE LITTLE 9 ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS STATE 10 CONTRACT PURCHASING AGREEMENT; AND FOR OTHER 11 PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Police Department has been transitioning away from Motorola XTS5000 14 Portable Radios,as they are at the end of their serviceable life,the APX6000 Portable Radio is smaller and 15 incorporates cellular technology to allow expanded communications range; and, 16 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Arkansas State Contract No. 4600050253, the Little Rock Police 17 Department can purchase sixteen (16) APX N70 Radios for members of the Command Staff to ensure 18 access to clear communications, and 153 APX600 Radios for Departmental Use for the total cost not to 19 exceed One Million, One Hundred Ninety-Four Thousand, Six Hundred Forty-Seven and 50/100 Dollars 20 ($1,194,647.50), plus applicable taxes and fees. 21 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to utilize the Arkansas State 24 Contract No.4600050253 to enter into a contract with Motorola Solutions,Inc.,for the purchase of sixteen 25 (16)APX N70 Radios for members of the Command Staff to ensure access to clear communications, and 26 153 APX600 Radios for Departmental Use for the total cost not to exceed One Million, One Hundred 27 Ninety-Four Thousand, Six Hundred Forty-Seven and 50/100 Dollars ($1,194,647.50), plus applicable 28 taxes and fees. 29 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Special Project funding Account No. 108529- 30 S52C461. 31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and [Page 1 of 21 I effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 2 resolution. 3 Section 4. Repealer.
