HomeMy WebLinkAbout15924 RESOLUTION NO. 15,924 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT TITLE TO THE PROPERTY LOCATED 4 AT 2815 SOUTH PULASKI STREET, TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, 5 ARKANSAS, TO BE USED FOR NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION 6 PROGRAMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has stated as one of its goals a desire to provide for 9 neighborhood revitalization, and has taken special efforts to accomplish this goal through its use of 10 various City and Federal Funds, and in affirmative actions such as the creation of a Land Bank 11 Commission; and, 12 WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this goal is it required that properties be obtained and sold by the 13 City in areas that are appropriate for revitalization; and, 14 WHEREAS, Mr. Allan J. Studenski has indicated his desire to donate the property located at 2815 15 South Pulaski Street,to the City of Little Rock,Arkansas; and, 16 WHEREAS,the City wishes to accept the property for use in its neighborhood revitalization efforts; 17 and, 18 WHEREAS, City Staff has conducted a title search of the property which revealed valid title to the 19 property and no significant title issues; and, 20 WHEREAS, Mr. Allan J. Studenski has provided the City with a Quit-Claim Deed to the property, a 21 copy of which is attached as Exhibit A; and, 22 WHEREAS,Arkansas State Law requires that the City transfer the property by resolution adopted by 23 the Board of Directors. 24 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby accepts the donation of the property by Quit-Claim Deed 27 described as 2815 South Pulaski Street. 28 Section 2. The property will be used for a private purpose to serve the public, specifically to improve 29 City Revitalization Programs. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 33 effect a if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 34 ordinance.
