3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., ORDINANCE NO.
4 21,122 (APRIL 19, 2022); TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
5 AMEND THE SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH MOTOROLA
6 SOLUTIONS, INC., AND TO INCREASE THE CONTRACT AMOUNT
7 TO TWO HUNDRED EIGHTEEN THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED
8 SIXTY-TWO AND 62/100 DOLLARS ($218,362.62), FOR THE CITY'S
9 RADIO INFRASTRUCTURE EQUIPMENT UTILIZED BY THE
10 EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER
11 PURPOSES.

13 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 21, 122 (April 19, 2022) modified Little Rock, Ark.,
14 Ordinance No.21,993 (May 18,2021);and,
15 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 21, 993 (May 18, 2021) modified Little Rock, Ark.,
16 Ordinance No. 21, 984 (April 20, 2021) and Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 21, 729 (May 21, 2019);
17 and,
18 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 21, 729 (May 21, 2019) provided for the award of a
19 Sole-Source Service Agreement with Motorola Solutions,Inc., in the amount of One Hundred Forty-Two
20 Thousand, One Hundred Thirty-Nine and 05/100 Dollars ($142,139.05), including applicable taxes and
21 fees,for a twelve(12)-month Maintenance Plan for the City's Network Infrastructure System;and,
22 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 21, 984 (April 20, 2021) amended Little Rock, Ark.,
23 Ordinance No. 21, 729 (May 21, 2019)to authorize an increase to the Service Agreement with Motorola
24 Solutions, Inc., in the amount of One Hundred Fifty-One Thousand, Five Hundred Thirteen and 28/100
25 Dollars ($153,513.28). This Amended Ordinance approved the term of the Service Agreement from
26 January 1,2021,to December 31,2021;and,
27 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 21, 993 (May 18, 2021) amended Little Rock, Ark.,
28 Ordinance No. 21,984(April 20,2021)to authorize an increase to the Service Agreement with Motorola
29 Solutions, Inc., in the amount of One Hundred Sixty Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventy-Eight and
30 28/100 Dollars ($160,778.28). This Amended Ordinance approved the term of the Service Agreement
31 from January 1,2021,to December 31,2021;and,
32 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 21, 122 (April 19,2022) amended Little Rock, Ark.,
33 Ordinance No. 21, 993 (May 18, 2021)to authorize an increase to the Service Agreement with Motorola

1 Solutions, Inc., in the amount of One Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand, Two Hundred Thirty-Five and
2 29/100 Dollars ($199,235.29). This Amended Ordinance approved the term of the Service Agreement
3 from January 1, 2022,to December 31,2022; and,
4 WHEREAS,the initial term of the Service Agreement expired on December 31, 2022; and,
5 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has determined that it would be in the City's best interest to
6 upgrade the Service Agreement Package and extend the Service Agreement; and,
7 WHEREAS, the new term of the Service Agreement began on January 1, 2023, and will expire on
8 December 31, 2023; and,
9 WHEREAS,the total cost of the January 1, 2023, Service Agreement shall increase to the amount of
10 Two Hundred Eighteen Thousand,Three Hundred Twenty-Six and 62/100 Dollars($218,326.62).
11 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
12 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
13 Section 1. Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 21, 122 (April 19, 2022) is hereby amended to authorize
14 the City Manager to amend and extend the Service Agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc., to increase
15 the contract amount to Two Hundred Eighteen Thousand, Three Hundred Twenty-Six and 62/100 Dollars
16 ($218,326.62)beginning from January 1,2023,to December 31, 2023.
17 Section 2. Funds for the specific agreement authorized by this amended ordinance are available in
18 the City's Emergency Communications Department 911 Fund, Account No.220511.
19 Section 3. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, subparagraph,
20 item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
21 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining provisions of this
22 ordinance, as if such invalid or unconstitutional provision was not originally a part of this ordinance.
23 Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this
24 ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
