Some news that complicates the process: I checked with our zoning team to see what process you would go through at the permit level and discovered that the fence going north to south (parallel to Rock St) is legally noncompliant. The previous or past property owner erected it without a permit following denial of the 8’ foot fence by the HDC in May 2007. The fence was built illegally but has remained on the property for too long and is now legally noncompliant. This leave you two options within our process concerning mending the fence: 1) you can repair the sections of the fence that require repair as an administrative review and the work would be seen as repair work, or 2) if you choose to demolish the fence and erect a new one, even if it looks just like the existing fence, it will be considered a new fence and will
