Good morning Commissioners,
I've received two additional neighborhood comments since the agenda packet was sent out. Please see
attached letter from the Wright Avenue Neighborhood Association and an email from Paul Dodds, a property
owner and resident within the district.

Good afternoon, Commissioners,
I’m sending out the packet for next week’s meeting a day early: share for commissioners. There are only two items
on this agenda: the local ordinance district proposal and the ordinance proposal to increase the number of
Commissioners should the LOD be approved.
From my discussions with neighborhood associations and individual residents, I’m expecting a strong attendance.
Anticipating this, staff thought it would be a good idea to use the speaking forms that are used at the Planning
Commission (example attached). People who would like to speak for or against an item will fill one of these out and the
forms will be given to the Chair in the order they were received. When it comes time for the “objector’s or interested
property owner’s” time to speak following the staff report and the applicant’s presentation (which is the same in this
case), the Chair goes through the cards, for and against, and invites the name listed to speak. Once everyone who
provided a card has spoken, the applicant can rebuttal (in this case, staff). Then the Commission goes to
questions/discussion. A good outline is in our by-laws.

Amber (Jones), this is just a staff suggestion to run the meeting this way, it’s up to you as Chair how to run the meeting
(formal or informal). Feel free to give me a call if you’d like to discuss!
Thanks,
