ISOLATION JOINTS FOR CONCRETE PAVING SHALL BE DESIGNED BY OTHERS AT POINTS OF CONTACT WITH EXISTING CONCRETE SURFACES OR NEW BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. 7. CONTRACTION JOINTS SHALL BE LAID OUT BY THE CONTRACTOR AT - iHE TIME OF CONSTRUCTION. JOINTS SHOULD BE SPACED AT INTERVALS EQUAL TO THE SLAB WIDTH, BUT IF THE WIDTH IS MORE THAN 10 FEET, THE SLAB SHOULD HAVE A LONGITUDINAL CONTRACTION JOINT ALONG THE CENTERLINE. 8.
