HomeMy WebLinkAbout15913 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,913 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES 5 AGREEMENT WITH WITTENBERG, DELONY & DAVIDSON, INC., IN 6 THE AMOUNT OF SIX THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED SIX DOLLARS 7 ($6,706.00), TO PROVIDE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE 8 LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT HEADQUARTERS PROJECT; 9 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the City's Request for Qualifications, Bid No. 585 ("RFQ") was issued for 12 Architectural Services for the City of Little Rock's Little Rock Police Department Headquarters Project; 13 and, 14 WHEREAS, pursuant to this RFQ, the Selection Review Committee selected Wittenberg, Delony & 15 Davidson, Inc. (WD&D) from the candidates submitting proposals, and a recommendation to select 16 WD&D for this project was submitted to the City Manager for approval; and, 17 WHEREAS, WD&D has the required professional skill and judgment, and is willing to work with 18 the City and the Construction Manager chosen for this project in a relationship of trust and cooperation, 19 and in accordance with Arkansas State Law and the City of Little Rock's Ordinance; and, 20 WHEREAS, on January 7, 2020, the City Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 15,144, to 21 authorize the City Manager to enter into an Architectural Services Agreement with Wittenberg, Delony& 22 Davidson, Inc., in an anticipated amount not to exceed Four Hundred Seventy-Nine Thousand Dollars 23 ($479,000.00); and, 24 WHEREAS, an amendment to the Architectural Services Agreement, in the amount of Six 25 Thousand, Seven Hundred Six Dollars($6,706.00), is necessary due to the addition of safety mechanisms 26 and supply chain increases and delays due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. 27 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 28 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 29 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment to 30 the Architectural Services Agreement with Wittenberg, Delony & Davidson, Inc., in the amount of Six 31 Thousand, Seven Hundred Six Dollars ($6,706.00), for the Little Rock Police Department Headquarters 32 Renovation Project. 33 Section 2. Funding will be available from the 2022 Budget Adjustment that will be approved at the 34 March 7,2023,Little Rock City Board of Directors Meeting. [Page 1 of 2] 1 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 2 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 3 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 5 resolution. 6 Section 5. Repealer.
