Marshall Arkansas Children's Hospital Temporary Parking Lots A/E Project No. 2005-118.10 Dear Sir: Enclosed are proposed parking layouts for the sites listed below at Arkansas Children's Hospital, a recent survey and the $230.00 fee check. Please forward these to the Department of Planning and Development for their review and approval. Scope of work: Site 1 - Former Financial II building, - Located at SE corner of Marshall & Maryland intersection. It is an old funeral home. - ACH will tear down the old building. - We desire to build a 'temporary' parking lot. Rational is that ACH plans in the near future to build a major multi-storey building just to the west, possibly a parking deck on this site, and to change all the surroundings, and in any event totally reconstruct this entire block of parking. This major project is about to begin design. - The parking lot would 'seamlessly' tie-in to the parking to the south and east - We want to NOT meet any of the parking lot screening and landscaping requirements, as a temporary lot. - We WILL maintain the current substantial landscape area to the west of the old building, and re - landscape it after the building is demolished. Site 2 - Former Transport House - This is the old two-story yellow brick apartment building is located at the SE corner of Maryland and Battery. - ACH is going to tear it down shortly. - We want to pave a portion -of its site as practical. There is an existing parking lot. -There is a substantial green space west of the old building, potentially to the south, already a 6' board fence to the south. There is Iandscaping to the east and north as well. I hope to be able to just plant some trees between the parking and the fence to the south, and not do any more landscaping.
