Smoke detectors are required at all doors that are on hold open devices. The door must close when the detector is activated. 11. Provide five (5) foot wide sidewalks with handicapped ramps on the property line. 3. The maximum cross slope at sidewalk crossings is 1:50. All driveway aprons within the public right-of-way shall be a minimum six (8) inches thick of 3000 -psi concrete and must conform to Ordinance 16,577. 4. Plans and specifications for all work in the right -of way must be prepared by a professional engineer, registered in the State of Arkansas and submitted in three (3) copies for approval prior to the start of work. Submit right-of-way dedication to Tad Borkowski at 701 West Markham 371-4466. 5. A grading permit must be obtained prior to commencement of any site work_ Permits may be acquired from the Public Works Department at 701 W. Markham. Permit cost is $50.00 per acre disturbed with a $250.00 maximum. Contact Melvin Hall with any questions at 371-4461. 6. Re -submit site grading/erosion control plans which include appropriate erosion controls, seeding/mulching, etc. and your soil loss calculation per "Universal Soil Loss Formula" (A=RK.LSCP). As of August 1, 1996 soil loss calculations are required from developers of land due to elements stipulated in the City's NPDES pemtit #ARS000001. Calculations should be submitted in a "Before -Erosion -Controls" and "After -Erosion -Controls" format. Contact the Department of Public Works (Mell Hall at 371-4461) for details.
