2 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO JOYNER -FORD-
3 BURKE CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. FOR UNIVERSITY AVE.(19TH
4 TO PARK PLAZA DR.) AHTD JOB #060917 CONSTRUCTION
5 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
6 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for the streetscape improvements for University
7 Ave.(19th to Park Plaza Dr.) AHTD Job #060917, Bid No.06 -24; and
8 WHEREAS, Joyner- Ford -Burke Construction Co., Inc. submitted the lowest
9 responsible and responsive bid, in the amount of $4,805,876.70 ($4,368,978.93 plus 10%
10 contingencies).
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
12 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
13 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with
14 Joyner- Ford -Burke Construction Co., Inc. for street reconstruction of University
15 Ave.(19th to Park Plaza Dr.) AHTD Job #060917, Bid No.06 -242 in the amount of
16 $4,805,876.70 ($4,368,978.93 plus 10% contingencies)..
17 Section 2. Funding for City share of the project is available from various fund
18 balances within fund 304 (Estimated City share for all remaining project costs:
19 $1,215,000. This construction project will be at the following federal participating ratios:
20 Federal Share 80% - City Match 20 %.
21 Section 3. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date
22 of its adoption.
