3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SMART AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE MILLION, FIVE HUNDRED
6 SEVENTY-SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS ($3,576,000.00), PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF EIGHTY
8 (80) 2023 FORD POLICE INTERCEPTORS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK
9 POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Police Department has demonstrated a need to purchase eighty(80)2023
12 Ford Police Interceptors to replace aged,high maintenance units currently in the City's fleet; and,
13 WHEREAS, vendor selection for eighty (80) 2023 Ford Police Interceptors, meeting the
14 specifications needed,was made through the 2023 State Vehicle Contract, Item 66; and,
15 WHEREAS,the total purchase price for eighty(80)2023 Ford Police Interceptors shall not to exceed
16 Three Million, Five Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand Dollars($3,576,000.00),applicable taxes and fees.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Smart Automotive Group,
20 for the purchase of eighty (80) 2023 Ford Police Interceptors, in an amount not to exceed Three Million,
21 Five Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand Dollars($3,576,000.00),applicable taxes and fees,to be used by the
22 Little Rock Police Department.
23 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in the Little Rock Police Department Short-Term
24 Financing Account No. 325529-72300-F452001.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
