HomeMy WebLinkAboutZ-4206-A Staff AnalysisORDINANCE NO. _15,172_._ AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 14,672 AND REVOKING A "PRD" DISTRICT TITLED WALNUT SQUARE IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14,672 was passed on June 5, 1984; and WHEREAS, the ordinance cnanged the zone classification from "R-4" Two Family to "PRD" on the following described property: The N 1/2 of Lots 4, 5 and 6, Block 8, Blankenship's Subdivision of Glendale Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and WHEREAS, the ordinance was to have taken effect upon final approval of the plan by the Little Rock Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, the owner has not submitted a final development plan/plat within the prescribed time; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission by resolution on August 26, 1986 (attached as Exhibit A), recommended that the above described property be reclassified and that the "PRD" classification be revoked. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 14,672 is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. That the preliminary site development plan/plat approved by Ordinance No. 14,672 is hereby revoked. SECTION 3. That the "PRD" District classification of the below listed property is revoked and the former "R-4" Two Family classification is restored on the official zoning map. Prince Mayor RESOLUTION NO. 79 A RESOLUTION OF THE LITTTLE ROCK PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING REVOCATION OF A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT "WALNUT SQUARE PRD - (Z -4206), TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. WHEREAS, the Planned Unit Development titled "Walnut Square PRD" was preliminarily approved by both Planning Commission and Little Rock Board of Directors in June, 1984 by Ordinance No. 14,672. WHEREAS, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Little Rock provides for revocation in Section 9-101, Paragraph H. in instances where the owner fails to file a final plan/plat. WHEREAS, the owner of the lands involved in the planned unit development has not pursued the approved preliminary plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The Planning Commission by unanimous vote recommended to the Board of Directors that the subject planned unit development be revoked and the preexisting classification of R-4 be restored. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 43-2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINA.ICES OF 2HE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK (ZONING MAP WALNUT SQUARE "PRD" DISTRICT). BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. That Section 43-2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, is hereby amended by amending the map referred in that Section to the extent that the Walnut Square "PRD" District is hereby amended to comply with the ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 14,672 and that section is hereby designated as "R-4" Two Family zoning. In addition to the revocation of the PRD, the Board also restored the former R-4 zoning which permits single family residences by right.
