PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS:
1. The request was to grant a special use permit for a
day-care family home. This would allow a maximum of 10
children to be kept at one time. The request is being
made because of an enforcement issue.
2. The site is a typical residential lot that has no
unique physical characteristics. There is one
structure on the property.
3. There are no right-of-way issues associated with this
request.
4. There, have been no adverse comments received from the
reviewing agencies at this time.
5. There have been no legal issues identified.
6. The applicant is required to notify residents within
200 feet by personal contact, not mail. Staff has not
received any comments from these -residents at this
time.
7e Staff feels that the request will not impact the area
and create very little problems. Additional traffic
should be minimal because of the restriction on the
number of children.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the special use permit.
PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION:
The applicant was present. There were no objectors. The
Commission discussed the application briefly. A motion was
made to recommend approval of the special use permit. The
motion passed by a vote of 9 ayes, 0 noes and 2 absent.
