The purpose of the zoning requested is to conform this property to the proposed expansion of the Village Center Project calling for additional multifamily buildings. There is staff opposition to the proposed multifamily expansion, and since this zoning is completely a part of that development, staff is not recommending approval of the zoning until such time as the platting issues are concluded. PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION: The applicant was present and was represented by his engineer. There were no objectors in attendance. The item was discussed briefly in conjunction with the subdivision and site plan review. The Planning Commission voted on a motion to approve the rezoning application.
