3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SCOTT EQUIPMENT COMPANY, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY-THREE
6 THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY-TWO DOLLARS ($483,762.00),
7 PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE
8 (1) EC480EL VOLVO EXCAVATOR FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
9 DEPARTMENT LANDFILL DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Public Works Department Landfill Division has a need to purchase one(1)EC480EL
12 Volvo Excavator to replace a unit that was destroyed by fire; and,
13 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made through the utilization of the Sourcewell Contract No.
14 032119-VCE; and,
15 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase shall not exceed Four Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand,
16 Seven Hundred Sixty-Two Dollars($483,762.00),plus applicable taxes and fees.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Scott Equipment Company
20 in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand, Seven Hundred Sixty-Two Dollars
21 ($483,762.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, for the purchase of purchase one (1) EC480EL Volvo
22 Excavator to be used by the Public Works Department Landfill Division.
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated Account No. 603120-72200.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
