3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SMART AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-SIX THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED
6 TWENTY-SIX AND 80/100 DOLLARS ($56,126.80), PLUS APPLICABLE
7 TAXES AND FEEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) FORD F-350
8 TRUCK WITH AN INSTALLED SERVICE BED FOR THE FLEET
9 SERVICES DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Fleet Services Department has demonstrated a need to purchase one(1) Ford F-350
12 Truck with an installed Service Bed, which will be used as the Fire Service Truck,to replace a aged, high
13 maintenance unit currently in the City's fleet;and,
14 WHEREAS,vendor selection for one(1) Ford F-350 Truck, meeting the specifications needed, was
15 made through the Arkansas Department of Transportation Contract No. H-22-232R; and,
16 WHEREAS, the total purchase price for one (1) Ford F-350 Truck shall not to exceed Fifty-Six
17 Thousand,One Hundred Twenty-Six and 80/100 Dollars,plus applicable taxes and fees.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Smart Automotive Group
21 for the purchase of one(1)Ford F-350 Truck in an amount not to exceed Fifty-Six Thousand,One Hundred
22 Twenty-Six and 80/100 Dollars,plus applicable taxes and fees,to be used by the Fleet Services Department.
23 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in Fleet Services Special Projects Account No.
24 326609-72300-TS60007.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
