3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SMART AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND, FIVE
6 HUNDRED DOLLARS ($106,500.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND
7 FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE (3) FORD F-250 TRUCKS FOR
8 THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT STREET OPERATIONS
9 DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department Street Operations Division has demonstrated a need to
12 purchase three(3)Ford F-250 Trucks to replace aged, high maintenance units currently in the City's fleet;
13 and,
14 WHEREAS,vendor selection for three(3)Ford F-250 Trucks,meeting the specifications needed,was
15 made through the Arkansas Department of Transportation Contract No. H-230R; and,
16 WHEREAS,the total purchase price for three(3)F-250 Trucks shall not to exceed One Hundred Six
17 Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($106,500.00),plus applicable taxes and fees.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Smart Automotive Group
21 for the purchase of three (3) Ford F-250 Trucks in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Six Thousand,
22 Five Hundred Dollars ($106,500.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, to be used by the Public Works
23 Department Street Operations Division.
24 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in Public Works Special Projects Account No.
25 205409-72300-S40B646.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
