ENGINEERING CONSIDERATIONS:
(1) Verify that access on Shackleford is as previously
approved for Holiday Inn development.
(2) Clarify driveway access on West Markham. Explain
whether or not it is an existing, joint use driveway.
ANALYSIS:
No major problems were found. The applicant has worked very
closely with the staff before filing this application. The
applicant, however, should clarify who is to build
improvements on Shackleford Road and design access to
incorporate abutting properties.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Approval, subject to comments made.
SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION:
The applicant clarified his proposal by stating that since
this was a PUD, no variances were requested. He also stated
that they were currently attempting to work out an agreement
with the property to the east and the -Holiday Inn tract to
the south on joint driveways. A motion was made and passed
for approval, subject to submission of a one -lot plat and
Bill of Assurance indicating who will be responsible for the
access easement from Markham. The motion passed by a vote
of: 2 ayes, 0 noes, 3 absent.

PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION:
Mr. Ron Tabor represented the developer. No objectors were
present. A motion in conformance with the Subdivision
Committee's recommendation of approval, subject to:
1. Submission of a one lot plat and Sill of Assurance
indicating who will be responsible for the access to
Markham.
2. An agreement with properties to the east and south on
joint drives.
The motion passed by a vote of 8 ayes, 0 noes, 3 absent and
1 abstention*.
