Shackleford Road Request: Rezone from "R-2" Single Family to "0-3" General Office Purpose: Office Development Size: 3.22 acres + Existing Use: Single Family SURROUNDING LAND USE AND ZONING: North - Residential, Zoned "0-3" South - Office, Zoned "0-3" East Residential, Zoned "0-3" West - Office, Zoned "0-3" PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS: No adverse comments have been received from any reviewing agency concerning this request. As can be seen in the sketch, this is the only remaining property within this area which has not been zoned "0-3" General Office. The property was annexed voluntarily by the owner in order to gain water service, but no zoning action was requested at that time. Since that annexation, the remainder of the property to the north and east was annexed under the island provisions of the anexation law and zoned "0-3." STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval. COMMISSION ACTION: The applicant was present, and there were no objectors. After a brief discussion,,the Commission moved to approve the application as filed. The motion passed: 9 ayes, 0 noes and 2 absent.
