However, staff has received one letter from a neighboring property owner stating that neighbors are opposed to the zoning change requested. The property is occupied by a nonconforming auto repair garage, which the owner desires to expand with a new building. The original Suburban Development Plan showed the entire west side of Mabelvale Pike, north and south of Sibley Hole Road all the way to Nash Lane for industrial development. However, during the discussion and consideration of another zoning case further south towards the town of Mabelvale, the Planning Commission and Board of Directors approved an amendment to the plan which split the industrial from the residential at Sibley Hole Road. This request is, therefore, in conformance with the amended plan. The 50=foot strip of land which abuts Sibley Hole Road serves as access to this property and is owned by the applicant.as a part of this property. There will be right-of-way required for Sibley Hole Road. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval. September 28, 1982 Item No. 4 - Continued COMMISSION ACTION: The applicant was present and brought with him two 'neighboring owners who were supporting his application, as well as two letters of support. In addition, the Chairman read a letter from Mrs. Joe Cooper, which stated her objection to the zoning. There were no objectors present at the meeting. After a brief discussion, the Commission moved to approve the application as filed, and the motion passed: 11 ayes and 0 noes.
