1. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING UTILITIES PRIOR TO EXCAVATING. ANY
DAMAGE TO EXISTING UTILITIES SHALL BE REPAIRED AT CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
2. ALL WORK WITHIN PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS AND
SPECIFICATIONS OF THE GOVERNING AUTHORITY.
3. THERE ARE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE UTILITIES WITHIN AND ADJACENT TO THE LIMITS OF CONSTRUCTION
AND AN ATTEMPT HAS BEEN MADE TO INDICATE THEIR PRESENCE ON THE PLAN. PRIOR TO BEGINNING ANY TYPE
OF EXCAVATION THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE VARIOUS UTILITY COMPANIES AND MAKE
ARRANGEMENTS FOR LOCATION OF THE UTILITY ON THE GROUND. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
CONTRACTOR TO MAINTAIN THE UTILITY LOCATION MARKINGS UNTIL THEY ARE NO LONGER NEEDED. EXISTING
AND ABANDONED UTILITY LOCATIONS ARE UNKNOWN. SURVEY MARKERS ARE APPROXIMATE LOCATIONS ONLY.
ALL UTILITIES ARE TO BE RELOCATED PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
4. ALL UTILITIES SHOWN FOR REMOVAL BACK TO MAIN SHALL BE REMOVED AND CAPPED PER UTILITY
STANDARD REQUIREMENTS. UTILITY REMOVAL SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE UTILITY AND THE OWNER, 72
HOURS WRITTEN NOTICE SHALL BE GIVEN TO THE OWNER AND UTILITY PRIOR TO DEMOLISHING ANY UTILITY.
5. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE OWNER AND THE ENGINEER OF ANY DAMAGED OR INTERRUPTED
UTILITIES IMMEDIATELY.
6. EXISTING UTILITIES THAT ARE TO REMAIN ARE TO BE PROTECTED AND ADJUSTED TO MATCH NEW GRADE.
7. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL SANITARY SEWER LINES IN ACCORDANCE WITH "STANDARD
SPECIFICATIONS FOR SEWER CONSTRUCTION IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK" LATEST EDITION PER LITTLE ROCK
WATER RECLAMATION AUTHORITY
8. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL WATER LINES IN ACCORDANCE WITH "STANDARD PIPELINE MATERIALS AND
CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS" BY CENTRAL ARKANSAS WATER, LATEST EDITION
9. CONTRACTOR SHALL HOLD A PRECONSTRUCTION MEETING WITH CENTRAL ARKANSAS WATER
PERSONNEL AND THE ENGINEER OF RECORD. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR AS -BUILT DRAWINGS
PER CAW REQUIREMENTS.
10. ANY MAJOR REVISION TO LOCATION OF WATER OR SANITARY SEWER TIE-INS, MANHOLES, METERS, ETC,
NEED TO HAVE DRAWINGS RE -SUBMITTED TO ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR RE -APPROVAL.
11. DIG CAREFULLY. STATE LAWS GENERALLY PROHIBIT THE USE OF MECHANIZED EQUIPMENT
WITHIN 18-24 INCHES OF A MARKED UTILITY, WHICH IS CALLED THE "TOLERANCE ZONE". CONTACT THE PROPER
LOCAL AGENCY PRIOR TO DIGGING.
12. CONTRACTOR SHALL MEET ALL OSHA REQUIREMENTS AND/OR COMPARABLE OSHA -APPROVED STATE
PLAN REQUIREMENTS FOR TRENCHING AND EXCAVATION.
