3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH G & W DIESEL FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIVE(5)
5 PIERCE TOP MOUNT PUMPER TRUCKS AND THREE (3) TOWER
6 AERIAL TRAUCKS, IN A TOTAL PURCHASE PRICE OF NINE
7 MILLION, SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY-SIX THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED
8 FIFTY-FIVE AND 07/100 DOLLARS ($9,746,655.07), PLUS APPLICABLE
9 TAXES AND FEES,FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND
10 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Fire Department has a need to purchase five(5)Pierce Top Mount Pumper
13 Trucks and three(3)Tower Aerial Trucks for the City's Fleet; and,
14 WHEREAS, vendor selection for the Pierce Top Mount Pumper Trucks and the Tower Aerial Trucks
15 meeting the specifications needed, was made through the Houston Galveston Area Council (HGAC)
16 Contract No. FS12-19;
17 WHEREAS, the total cost for the contract is not to exceed Nine Million, Seven Hundred Forty-Six
18 Thousand,Six Hundred Fifty-Five and 07/100 Dollars($9,746,655.07),plus applicable taxes and fees,with
19 funding provided by the 2023 Bond Funds allotted Little Rock Fire Department Projects
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with G&W Diesel for the purchase
23 of five(5)Pierce Top Mount Pumper Trucks and three(3)Tower Aerial Trucks,in an amount not to exceed
24 Nine Million, Seven Hundred Forty-Six Thousand, Six Hundred Fifty-Five and 07/100 Dollars
25 ($9,746,655.07), plus applicable taxes and fees.
26 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2023 Bond Funds allotted Little Rock Fire
27 Department Projects.
28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
32 resolution.
33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
34 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
