STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
The applicant has received clearance from the FAA for the
proposed height. Holiday Inn will construct a Holidome on
this site as shown in the sketch.
Staff recommends approval.
BOARD ACTION:
The applicant was present and showed the site plans for the
proposed Holiday Inn. There was a lengthy discussion
relative to the various considerations. Finally, the Board
moved to approve the application for a height variance with
the provision that the ultimate height of the structure not
exceed 350 feet mean sea level as approved by the FAA. The
motion was passed - 4 ayes, 0 noes, 2 absent. and 1 not
voting.
