My responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the design and engineering of Verizon Wireless Communications network in the state of Arkansas. Verizon is working to improve its coverage in and around Mabelvale and the areas between Mabelvale and I-30. The current coverage in the area is weak, resulting in drop calls, slow data speeds and, in extreme cases, being unable to make or receive calls. This site will greatly improve outdoor coverage and provide good in -building coverage for this area. Like most wireless carriers, Verizon holds FCC licenses for several different frequency bands in Central Arkansas. Each of these licenses can be utilized in different ways and the use of each can change as technology evolves. Currently Verizon's LTE data network is deployed on the 700MHz and 2100MHz spectrum. Each of these licenses are strictly regulated by the FCC on how much power can be transmitted and location of the antenna system to ensure safe operations. Verizon has an entire regulatory department that ensures Verizon complies with all federal safety standards and regulations for radio frequency emissions. The table below shows the calculated ERP for each carrier planned for this site and that Verizon is within the maximum FCC ERP allowed. Spectrum 700MHz 2100MHz Sincerely, Jay D.
