PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS
No adverse comments have been received from any reviewing
agency concerning this request. Sibley Hole Road terminates
just past the north boundary of this property, and the
bridge over Fourche Creek was destroyed in the 1978 flood.
There is no expectation at this time that the bridge will be
replaced. Sibley Hole Road presently provides access to the
Arkansas Highway Department Sign Shop and Material Yard, and
the Highway Department has erected a gate with which to
close off the street in the evening.
Although the Suburban Development Plan shows this property
for future multifamily use, staff is convinced that
industrial use of the property is more reasonable. No
specific plan changes are anticipated with the request, but
a change will be incorporated into a more comprehensive
update of the plan in the future.
